Badam ladoo recipe is a quick, easy and tasty ladoo made with minimal ingredients. With only 4 ingredients, badam laddu can be made in just 20 minutes.
In fact, these badam laddoos make a wonderful sweet treat for children. When I prepare laddoos, I usually try to avoid using sugar and instead add jaggery, if feasible in the recipe.
You may easily substitute jaggery for sugar when making laddoos from nuts and seeds. You may use palm jaggery or coconut sugar to make these ladoos instead.
Almonds are a nutrient-dense nut, so they should be included in your diet.
The taste of these almond ladoos is distinct from that of badam ladoos prepared with a sugar or jaggery syrup.
The flavor resembles that of ground Peanut ladoos, only without the peanut flavor. For the sake of offering a quick and easy Ganesh Chaturthi version, I created these ladoos today so that they may be prepared quickly and easily during special occasions.
You may also make these ladoos at any time and offer them to children. I prepare small amounts and keep the ground almonds in an airtight container because they can rapidly go rancid.
If you’re making ladoos for special events, you may easily double or triple the recipe to produce a huge batch. If you’re making ladoos for your family, keep it to a minimum or double up the recipe. These ladoos should be refrigerated to ensure longer shelf life.
I prefer to use roasted almonds. You may even blanch and roast the almonds if you like. Peeling each almond takes some time, so roasting them is a better option in terms of saving time. These ladoos are warming (तासीर) since they include almonds.
I recommend using raisins, soaked figs, and dates, or dry berries as natural sweeteners if you don’t want to use jaggery or sugar in the recipe. I included some raisins in this dish since they are optional.
You may make ladoos for your family by roasting and grinding nuts-seeds. The fats found in the nuts and seeds aid in the formation of the ladoos, so there is no need to add any ghee or oil.
Nuts, when combined together, provide many options. You may simply make a pooram pista ladoo or kaju kismish ladoo with few ingredients. Ladoos may also include three to four dry fruits.
The final product comes out to be about 10 small badam ladoos. They may be served immediately or kept in an airtight container in the fridge.

Ingredients
- 1 cup (130 g) almonds [BUY ONLINE]
- ⅓ cup jaggery powder or grated jaggery (60 g) [BUY ONLINE]
- 2 tbsp raisins (kishmish) [BUY ONLINE]
- 3 green cardamoms seeds [BUY ONLINE]
Cooking Instructions
- Prepare a thick-bottomed pan by heating it. Add 1 cup raw almonds to the pan and keep the flame low or medium.
- Start roasting the almonds while stirring periodically and continue till the almonds become crunchy.
- Make sure you don’t burn or brown the almonds so cool them and taste a few. (Almonds can be roasted in an oven.)
- Mix 2 tablespoons raisins into the almonds after they have been roasted.
- Remove the roasted almonds and raisins to another bowl or plate after turning off the flame. Allow the almonds to cool a little.
- Combine almonds, green cardamoms seeds, powdered jaggery, and raisins in a mixer or grinder jar. (You can alternatively use palm jaggery, coconut sugar or cane sugar)
- Stop the blender or mixie after a few seconds. Continually check the consistency of the almonds until some oil has been released from the almonds and they have a fine consistency. Additionally, you can set your grinder to pulse.
- To test the quality of the mixture, squeeze a small amount between your hands. It should hold its shape and not crumble.
- If you grind the almonds too much, then much oil will be released from the almonds, creating almond butter.
- Pour the cooled almonds & raisins back into the bowl or plate that we used to cool the badam ladoo mixture.
- Take small portions of the ladoo mixture in your hands, and begin to shape it into ladoos.
- Continue the same way and prepare badam ladoos with the remaining mixture.
- Ten almond ladoos can be made from this recipe. It is possible to double or triple this recipe. Almond ladoos should be stored in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
- Make healthy almond ladoos as a treat and enjoy them plain.
