The Perfect Breakfast: Sunny Side Up on Cast Iron Skillet
Sunny side-up eggs are a classic breakfast choice. This breakfast dish is simple to make and can be consumed effortlessly in a variety of ways.
Sunny-side-up eggs are a scrumptious way to kickstart your day, whether you eat them with toast, potatoes, or just by themselves.
If you’re looking for the perfect sunny side-up eggs, there are a few things you’ll need to keep in mind. First, make sure your eggs are fresh.
Cooking them this way in a cast iron skillet ensures even cooking and a rich flavor. Second, use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking and burning.
Finally, be careful not to over-cook your eggs – you want the yolks to be runny and the whites to be cooked through.
Our favorite breakfast is a warm masala omelet with crispy butter toast and a sunny side-up egg.
Several people consider it to be their favorite breakfast. Unfortunately, we use toxic non-stick pans to prepare our favorite breakfast.

How To Know If The Pan Is Hot Enough For My Cooking?
Are you ever in the kitchen, cooking away and wondering if your pan is hot enough? If it is, then your food will cook evenly.
If it’s not, then you may end up with half-cooked or even raw food. No one wants that! So, how can you tell if the pan is hot enough for your cooking?
First, take a look at the surface of the pan. If it’s smooth and shiny, then it’s probably still too cold.
You want the surface to be matte or dull looking. This means that it’s heated up and ready to go. Here are a few other useful tips…
- Put your hands above the skillet.
- Now, count to 5.
- If you can count to 5 without feeling the extreme heat, then it’s good to cook.
- If smoke and heat are coming off the pan, while counting to 5, then it’s too hot to cook.
- If the pan is too hot, then food will stick onto the pan as the pores of the cast iron will open more.
An egg is a delicate dish, so we have to be careful not to create a mess.
How To Cook Sunny Side Up on Cast Iron Skillet
Step 1: Choose a good pan & fresh eggs
There are only 2 things you require to fry the perfect egg – fresh eggs and a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet. One without the other will cause an eggy mess that will be stuck to your pan.
Step 2: Gently preheat the pan with oil
Remember that cast iron pans require a little while to warm up. But DO NOT heat the cast iron skillet on high heat; use it on a medium flame.
Step 3: Add your choice of oil/butter
Make sure to put enough oil in the pan but not too much! You can even use butter, coconut, and peppermint oil. Don’t use an oil like Virgin Olive Oil because such kinds of oils can’t resist the high heat. I love butter, why not indulge?
Step 4: Add your egg, seasoning and cook
Remember cast iron pans continue to warm; therefore the next time you put in your eggs, make sure you lower the heat.
All heat from the preheating session has heated the oil and pan enough to carry on and maintain them warm for a few minutes that it requires to cook the eggs.
Do not forget to add pepper, salt, chives, oregano and other fresh herbs. Cook it to a perfect crispy outer edge & soft liquid yolk.
Once cooked just move it to a plate of your choice and enjoy the start to an “egg-cellent” day!
