How to Make Maharashtrian Goda Masala Recipe
Maharashtrian Goda Masala is a blend of aromatic Indian spices. It is used to make vegan curries, stews, and rice dishes.
This masala spice blend is also known as kanda lasun masala or Goda Masala powder.
This aromatic masala blend originates from the state of Maharashtra in India. It is made with a combination of spices like coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, and cardamom pods.
These aromatic spices are dry roasted, cooled and ground to make the masala powder.
Goda Masala is used in many Maharashtrian dishes like amti (a type of dal), varan bhaat (a type of rice dish), and kolhapuri vegetable curry. This masala spice blend adds a rich, aromatic flavor to these dishes.
If you cannot find Goda Masala at your local Indian grocery store, you can easily make it at home with this recipe. Just dry roast the spices and grind them into a fine powder. Store the masala powder in an airtight container and use it as needed.
