I have tried many, and each time I ended up cursing myself for expecting it to be different. So, I ended up researching this, and with my food and nutrition experience, I went out to find a moderate recipe that is practical and nutritious.

Ingredients
1 tbsp Ghee/nut butter
Nuts
- ½ cup Almonds
- ½ cup Walnuts
- ½ cup Pistachios
- ½ cup Cashews
- ½ cup brazil nuts
- ½ cup Hazelnuts
Dry Fruits
Seeds
- 3 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
- 3 tbsp Melon Seeds
- 3 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- 3 tbsp Flax Seeds
Spices
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
- ½ tsp Green Cardamom
- 2 pinch Saffron (optional)
- ½ roll Cinnamon (optional)
- 1 nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
Instructions
- Take the nuts, and seeds. Roast them in ghee or nut butter.
- De-seed the dry fruits and chop them
- Add the nuts, seeds and dry fruits to a blender. Blend into a fine powder.
- Add the spices and blend twice. Your protein powder is ready.
- Store it in an airtight container and drink it with milk or water.
Recipe Notes
- You may alternate between cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg to make different flavours.
- You can also add two flavours together to make it more favourable. But I recommend only one flavour at a time.
- You can also use cocoa/coffee for flavouring. But be careful with the quantity. We don’t want a bitter protein shake. Do we?
- You can add more nuts if needed just adjust the quantity likewise.
To ensure a balanced protein powder, nuts like almonds, pistachios, and walnuts. Cashew etc, is an inevitable part.
Hence if you have a nut allergy, you might not be able to consume this. So, here we go with protein powder recipes at home.
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Store in a container for future use.
