Lemon Rice Pilaf is sure to turn out to be a staple rice dish in your repertoire as it’s so flexible!

The reason this is not just “yet another flavoured rice” is as it’s made as a pilaf.

A pilaf is without a doubt a rice dish that begins like a risotto – sautéing of garlic and onion in olive oil (or butter), then stirring in the rice grains till they turn out to be translucent with the oil, then cooking the rice in a broth.

Cooking rice in this manner transforms an undeniable plain and mundane rice right into a flavoured dish which is tasty enough to be eaten plain.

In fact, there are numerous rice dishes around the food sector which might be made this manner, loaded up with even extra flavour and with a variety of proteins incorporated in them e.g. traditional Italian risottos, to Spanish Paella, Biryani all through Indian and the Middle East and Jambalaya.

Even as a few Lemon Rice recipes cook the rice with the lemon juice, my choice is to stir the lemon thru the rice as soon as it is cooked.

I have discovered through trials and errors that the lemon flavour is fresher and more energizing, and additionally, I stir it through at the same time as the rice is hot so it sucks in all that fresh flavour.

Lemon Rice Pilaf is a top-notch versatile preparation of rice, but especially ideal for Mediterranean and Italian dishes and of course seafood.

This goes fabulously with any type of seafood.
